There could soon be an end to the strike at the CN Autoport facility in Eastern Passage.
Employees have been on strike since late February.
According to a release, Unifor and Autoport reached a tentative agreement Tuesday, after the conciliator invited the union back to the negotiating table at the company’s request.
Union members will learn the details at meetings Wednesday and vote on the tentative agreement.
Unifor says picket lines at the Autoport will remain active until a collective agreement is ratified.
The union represents 239 workers at the vehicle processing and transshipment hub in Eastern Passage.
Operating under CN Rail, Autoport is one of North America’s most extensive facilities, processing and transshipping nearly 185-thousand vehicles annually.
