I have always heard the saying “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. Can’t say I have really felt that was true, but it is nice to have a meal better than I can cook. I am lucky enough (and sometimes cursed) to have a wife that likes to experiment in the kitchen. I have always tried to dress up recipes with my own twist too, but the danger is that experiments don’t always go well. I have had too many blunders to even start listing, most from when I was single, I have played it pretty safe with my cooking since. Beef short ribs were more like door stops and my first attempts at homemade fish and chips nearly ended in us homeless, just to touch on a few.
When it comes to my wife, Pinterest has led to some “interesting” meals. I laugh when I think of some of the experiments we have consumed. Cauliflower crusted pizza had me coming home to open windows with smoke billowing out. I would rather not remember the black bean burger adventure and the dill pickle and alfredo pizza was really something. Of course what got me thinking about this post was the other night’s delicacy, lettuce wraps. This one was tasty for sure, but something I never thought I would ever eat, haha.

So is the food leading to love really a thing? Science say yes and it is true for men and women!
