Bridgewater DQ Remains Closed Following Fire Scare

A local fast food restaurant had to shut down temporarily due to a potential fire Wednesday.

Bridgewater Dairy Queen was evacuated yesterday around 4:30 PM after the building began filling with thick smoke.

A ladder truck from Bridgewater Fire Dept. could be seen set up on the side of the building with fire crew inspecting the roof.

A statement from Bridgewater DQ Club on Facebook stated the issue causing the smoke had been found and attributed it to a mechanical failure.

The post also said inspections and repairs will continue throughout the day, and they hope to open the restaurant tomorrow.

A call to the restaurant has confirmed they are closed for the day.
