Well it is a reality of springtime, if outside, we end up eating bugs. I am sure my blackfly intake is quite high after fencing and gardening evenings. Bust aside from flies and the spiders we are rumored to eat in our sleep, would you eat and insect on purpose?
I know crickets are kind of the chicken of the insect world, sort of the gateway insect. They are made into flour and put on salads and I can say I have tried them. Not a real fan, but I have tried it.

But what about larger bugs? I am a hard pass on eating them.
For those of you that have said “what next” with all the happenings over the past couple of years, be thankful you are not south of the border, because this is the year the cicadas are coming!
