Back from a very different Canada Day where a lot of us used the day to reflect more than celebrate this year. Here is a new tune with deep meaning.
This song was created to help bring awareness to more than 4000 missing and murdered First Nations women and girls across Canada and thousands more in the United States. The song was also written and performed to empower First Nations youth and help them rise above the challenges of being an Indigenous youth in Canada
This project from a Cape Breton school was released to us with the opportunity to help them raise funds for arts programs at Allison Bernard Memorial High School.
