Building Sand Sculptures And Searching Waves.

This weekend we spent some time at the beach, as did many others. We saw some of the proof.
The 22nd Annual Sandcastle Competition was held at Rissers Beach on Saturday and even though the tide had washed away most of the creations before we got there later in the day, what we did see was great. Maritimers are known around the world for their sand sculpting abilities too. Check out the creation from a P.E.I. guy that won top prize in an American competition.

Then yesterday we did some exploring, just checking out a few beaches we don’t usually get to. A drive across Crescent Beach is a common activity, but we decided to try and hit all the beaches right down to the second Crescent Beach in Lockeport. Even though we did get rained out by the end, we made it to most. If you are thinking of a similar drive to explore here is a list to get you started.

Or if you are planning on a longer search, here is a lists offering options for the entire province.
