This Could Charge Up Farming

Well the push for electric vehicles is here. I have to say, that is going to be a hard pill for me to swallow. I have always loved the rev of an engine, never minded the smell of diesel and only ever complained about the internal combustion engine when fuel prices go up.
In the back of my mind I have been thinking that small cars and bikes will go electric and maybe smaller trucks, but that is it right? Well this week we had an electric tractor roll off the assembly line.

Is this good news? I am on the fence, yes there is no burning fuel, no exhaust coming from this tractor… But is the electricity production without an environmental footprint? The parts of electric vehicles have often not been recyclable or repairable, just replaced… has that changed?
