SNAP, It’s Photography Day

Today celebrates something that has changed so much over the years, it’s Photography Day.
So where did it all begin? Well “The world’s earliest successful photograph was taken by French inventor Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1826.”

I remember when the 35mm camera was the top device to use. That was a huge upgrade from the old fashioned camera requiring flash cubes that Mom used as I was growing up. That or the old Polaroid camera that my Dad had. Liverpool is the home of a great museum exhibit dedicated to photos from the past and the guy behind them.

Then digital came and you no longer had to wait to get the prints back to see if those special moments were captured. I remember the first digital camera I had was 8.1 megapixels. Now cell phones have cameras with three times that resolution.
Today why not take a moment to “snap” a few pictures and celebrate Photography Day.
