Nova Scotians will pause on Sunday afternoon and remember those who lost their lives in last April’s mass shooting.
The province is asking residents to participate in two minutes of silence beginning at 3 p.m.
Province House will be lit up blue as a lone bagpiper plays while they lower their flags.
The flags at Province House were lowered at sunrise to honour and remember the 22 Nova Scotians who were killed on April 18 and 19, 2020. They will remain at half-mast until tomorrow at sunset. #novascotiastrong #nsstrong #novascotiaremembers #nsremembers pic.twitter.com/7OaefMePcJ

Today marks the one year anniversary of one of the worst attacks in Canadian history.
There is no comfort for the anguish of having parents, children, neighbours, and friends torn away. There are no words that can heal that pain. But to those whose lives were forever changed on April 18th and 19th, we are here for you. #NovaScotiaStrong https://t.co/oXHCjPw1Fl

Acadia Broadcasting Limited and its Nova Scotia stations will participate in the two minutes of silence and our airwaves will go silent concurrently with the provincial observation.
