MODL closes office; encourages residents to use trails

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is closing its office to the pubic starting Wednesday, April 28.

MODL will keep a limited number of staff in its building and the shut down is expected to last until at least May 13.

Tax payments can also be made at a bank, online, via telephone banking or using the drop box via cheque (do not deposit cash in the drop box).

“We proved in 2020 that we can shift quickly to remote services and continue to provide excellent service to our residents and businesses,” said Mayor Carolyn Bolivar-Getson. “It is vitally important that everyone do their part to contain the spread of COVID-19.”

All recreation programming is cancelled.

Meantime, parks and trails remain open, and the municipality is asking that residents follow public health guidelines and use only those in their community.
