Reduced hours at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital emergency department

The emergency department at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg has reduced hours.

Nova Scotia Health says the ER will be closed at 1 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and re-opening at 7:30 a.m. the following day.

Even when the emergency department may be closed, Virtual Urgent Care is available Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If you have a medical emergency, you should call 911.

For general health advice and information, call 811 to speak to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
