There has been so much conversation around the office this year around “Christmas movies.” The argument that has been sparking the discussion is around the Bruce Willis movie Die Hard. Yes it happens at a Christmas party, but it is a far stretch from the traditional Hallmark recipe for a Christmas movie.
So does a movie have to be sappy for it to be a good Christmas movie? I can’t say that Die Hard gives me a holiday feel warm and fuzzy vibe and by the pro Die Hard description of why it is the best Christmas movie, Lethal Weapon would be a holiday classic too.
I am not going to argue that the flick has to be like “It’s a Wonderful Life” to be a holiday classic. You can judge for yourself. Instead I am going to give you the top holiday movies as listed by the pros at Rotten Tomatoes.

I don’t try to be sappy over the holidays, but it does seem like a good time for that to happen. Chevrolet has decided to go that sappy route with their Christmas commercial for this year. You have to take a look and if you tear up, no one will judge you.
