It is SLIPPERY out there, and with the forecast for the next couple of days, looks like it will only get worse.
Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE rain in the winter? Snow is fine, that can be plowed, played in and travelled through. Ice that is anywhere other than the favourite skating hole, that is only good for hung up vehicles and slips and falls.
But, it seems that Mother Nature and Jack Frost are not getting along, so every snowstorm is being followed with rain and ice.
So, aside from complaining, what can we do about it? Sanding the whole community doesn’t seem like an option, so we have to find a way to put up with the slippery conditions best we can.
Health officials tell us that the critters on the movie ‘Happy Feet‘ knew what they were doing and suggest we do the “Penguin Walk”.

This might feel a bit foolish, but it is better than trying to navigate winter conditions wearing a cast after a bad fall on the ice. So waddle away, be careful and I promise no one will be laughing as you safely get where you need to go without a bruised butt, or worse.
Stay safe out there as you do the “Penguin Walk”.
