Spring Has Sprung, I See and Hear The Signs

So what is the thing that proves to you spring has sprung?
For some it is when the snow melts, for others it is when the temperature reaches double digits.
The start of fishing season is a sure sign of springtime for many.
For me there are a couple indicators. When the grass turns green, the trees start to bud and the cows start calving.

When talking with Elspeth from Wiles Lake Farm Market this morning she mentioned that she was hearing peepers last night. I have not heard them around my place yet, but I know they will soon be out looking for “friends”, haha.
There are some pretty interesting things you might not know about the little critters that announce the beginning of spring each year. Such as the fact that these little dudes calling for females to mate make a really loud noise. “Spring Peepers can be heard up to 1km from where they are located
