OH DEER, What Can We Do??

I am at a loss. The grass is starting to green up but at this point I am not sure if it will ever get long enough for cattle to graze on the field.
Then there is the idea of growing a garden this year, I am not sure what to do. There are 7 deer that have decided a great place to visit is our yard. They are not scared of anything as far as vehicles and noises go and short of getting a vicious dog, I don’t know what to do.
Electric barbed wire doesn’t seem to work for the garden. I have planted lavender and always have some marigolds around the perimeter, but as soon as the vegetables are ready the 6′ fence means nothing.
Hoping some of these tips might help keep the venison at bay.

17 Solutions to Keep Deer Off Your Property

I just wonder with all the vehicle collisions involving these 4-legged garden wreckers, why is there a limited hunting season with only so many doe tags issued each year. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems the deer are taking over.
I guess it could be worse. At least we don’t have a problem with bouncing bears like they did in Coquitlam, British Columbia last week. haha Better to laugh than cry. Suggestions for dealing with deer are welcomed.
