Today is the first full day of summer! Luckily the weather forecast got the memo and now the sun is planning to make an appearance over the next couple days and on the weekend. I think the deer decided to come out of the woods this morning and celebrate as well, I had to swerve for the bothersome critters three times on my way in this morning.
Hard to believe that the days start to get shorter from now on, haha.
Now that summer is officially here, what does that mean for most of us? I know students are excited for school to be out and/or graduation. Beach goers and campers are excited for warmer weather/water and getaways. Meanwhile farmers are hoping for clearing conditions to make hay and harvest crops as they become ready.

One big summer event that we have been missing here at Country 100.7 is the Big Ex in Bridgewater. Well, happy to say that the South Shore Exhibition is back this summer July 26th-31st 2022 and our home for that week was delivered yesterday. Constructed by students at the NSCC and donated by New Germany Home Hardware Building Centre, this beautiful building could be yours. We will have more details on how you can help a great cause when you buy a ticket next month to win our Big Ex “home”.
Another big celebration that is back this year in full swing is recognizing our country’s birthday.
