Yesterday was a sad day and if you don’t agree with that statement, you can’t argue it was a day of big changes for sure.
Think about it, for seven decades Queen Elizabeth II was the head of our government, a constant leader. I remember my grandmother (she actually resembled Queen Elizabeth II a lot) talking about the King, but for the most part those that are watching yesterdays passing of her majesty and the changes to come, are seeing these changes for the first time.
So what will change in Canada? I mean, we are so far away… but we are very connected and many changes are coming. One change that popped into my head while writing this, the town criers will now be ending their cries with “God Save The King” and the song will no longer be sang as “God Save The Queen”
What happens now that Queen Elizabeth II has died? Here are the changes Canadians will see
Aside from the changes that are yet to come, we have a lot of unfamiliar events that will happen over the next few days. It kind of sounds like a James Bond movie with the code names surrounding the passing of her majesty. Now that “London Bridge Is Down” we now will see “Operation Unicorn” take place and then “Operation Lion” in a few days.

The post that I loved the best surrounding the passing of the 96 year old Queen was this one. Well worth the click.

Whether you agree with the way our government is run, a fan of the monarchy or not, you can not discredit our past Queen. She was a solid constant that watched over us. For many of us, our whole lives, and will be greatly missed.
Yesterday was truly one of those events that you will remember where you were when you heard of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
