Nova Scotia Health says staff will be contacting everyone to confirm whether or not you still need a family doctor, or if you are on the list because your provider is retiring.
According to the press release, staff will make sure you know where to access health care, if you are still in need and to confirm basic information.
The number that may pop up on your phone may be from a blocked caller ID or unknown number.
The number of people on the waitlist is now over 160,000.
