Man charged following complaint of car sleeping

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with impaired driving by drug following a complaint of two people sleeping in a running vehicle.

The vehicle was parked at the Gateway Plaza on the west side of town on Dec.4, Bridgewater Police Service said.

One man was arrested and later released with a promise to appear in court to enter a plea on Feb. 22.

Three sets of scales, $5000 cash, 48 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of cutting agent, methamphetamine pills, Dilauded, Ativan and other drug paraphernalia was seized during the investigation.

The investigation is still underway; Bridgewater police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 902-543-2464.
