RCMP Charge 113 People For Impaired Driving In January

Nova Scotia RCMP have released the number of people charged with impaired driving for January.

Police say the charged 113 people total for the month including:

64 charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol.

Four charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Drug.

10 charged with Refusal of a Demand Made by a Peace Officer.

35 issued driving suspensions for Operating a Conveyance While Having Consumed Alcohol.

The RCMP is also reminding the public to call 911 anytime they witness a potentially impaired driver.

Some things to look for include, but are not limited to, driving unreasonably fast, slow or at an inconsistent speed, drifting in and out of lanes, tailgating and changing lanes frequently and making exceptionally wide turns.
