Police call off search for missing woman at Long Lake

The search has been called off for a 26-year-old woman who went missing at Long Lake after 3 days of searching.

The Halifax Regional Police say they searched the area but did not find Jashandeep Kaur.

They continue to investigate the case as a missing person, according to a news release.

Kaur was reported missing Sunday afternoon.

Reports say her cellphone, kayak and lifejacket were recovered. She was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, black pants, with white and black sneakers.

Police thanked everyone in the community who helped with the search.
