2024 Sherbrook Village Old Fashioned Christmas cancelled

A holiday tradition in Guysborough County will not happen this year.

In a Facebook post, organizers say Sherbrook Village Old Fashioned Christmas 2024 has been cancelled due to “shifting community demographics and volunteer burnout.”

However, Sherbrook Village says after this year’s pause, it anticipates launching a renewed holiday event next year.

The annual celebration at Nova Scotia’s largest living-history museum has been held since 1996 with a couple of hiatuses. It has won a number of tourism and marketing awards.
