A special weather statement has been issued for parts of Nova Scotia.

It covers the eastern half of the Halifax Regional Municipality and stretches into Cape Breton.

Environment Canada says you can expect significant rainfall with up to 65 mm possible.

It advises rainfall warnings are likely for the areas set to receive the heaviest totals.

The wet weather is expected to arrive on Thursday.
