TSX opening markets for the week in N.S.

The Toronto Stock Exchange will be opening its markets from Nova Scotia this week.

In recognition of their 125th anniversary, High Liner Seafoods staff will ring the opening bell for the nations stock exchange in Lunenburg on Monday.

The private event at the fisheries museum starts at 10 a.m. local time and will be live streamed on the TSX website.

On Tuesday, local life sciences companies listed on TSX and TSX Venture Exchange will open the market from the Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub in Halifax.

According to the TMX Group website, “As of August 31st, there were 41 companies from Atlantic Canada listed on TSX and TSXV with a total market capitalization of over $61 billion.”
