How to vote in Nova Scotia’s municipal election Saturday

Polls are open as communities choose their next mayor, council and CSAP representatives.

If you did not received a voter information letter, you will need register as a voter, which you can do at a returning office or a polling station.

You’ll a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license, an ID card or an Indian status card.

Otherwise you’ll need two documents that have your name and one with your civic address. For a list of acceptable documents, visit elections Nova Scotia’s website.

Head to your municipality’s website for information on dates and times for advanced polls as well as voting locations.
