Outrage over racist costumes at Cape Breton Halloween party

Outrage on social media over racist Halloween costumes at a party in Cape Breton.

Videos and pictures show four people dressed in what looked to be Ku Klux Klan attire, one was carrying a large cross.

The public dance was hosted by the North Sydney Firefighters Club on Saturday.

Many are questioning why the four were not ejected from the building, and why the party continued.

In a statement on Facebook, the club says they made a mistake.

They apologized to the community who were offended by their lack of action, and say the four individuals are in no way associated with the department.

The club says they promise to be better in the future.
