Kenzie Lalonde to become first female NHL play-by-play voice on TSN

History for a former Halifax sportscaster.

TSN’s Kenzie Lalonde will become the first woman to do play-by-play on an NHL broadcast for the network.

She’ll be in the booth for Tuesday night’s Maple Leafs/Senators game in Toronto.

Lalonde worked for Eastlink Community TV in Halifax from 2019-2022, and became the first female play-by-play voice in the QMJHL.

She currently reports for TSN for the Montreal Canadiens, and does play-by-play for the PWHL and Canada’s national women’s team.

Lalonde joins Gord Miller and Matt Cullen as play-by-play voices for the Senators this season.

The game is on TSN 5.
