It looks like the Nova Scotia-to-PEI ferry will be back in service next month.
Northumberland Ferries says the MV Confederation is due back on December 6 after repairs to the bow visor are completed.
It will make four round-trips a day until the season ends on December 20.
The company explored if the vessel could sail without the bow visor, but found it would create a safety risk.
The vessel collided with a dolphin structure at a wharf on the PEI-side in September.
The company says mechanical failure was not a factor, and the investigation is continuing.
Repairs to MV Confederation are ahead of schedule. Schedule shows work being completed Dec 3, with return to service Dec 6. If completed earlier MV Confederation will return to service ASAP. Upon returning to service, MV Confederation will operate a daily four round-trip schedule
