Penny Smith chosen as Shelburne warden for third time

Penny Smith remains the warden of the Municipality of Shelburne.

She was chosen by the new council at their swearing-in ceremony.

Smith thanks council for the trust they’ve placed in her.

“I believe my experience as councillor and warden for the last eight years is an asset to the council team. I have a great love for my community, and I’m excited to continue to serve residents of the municipality to the best of my ability,” said Smith.

It’s her third consecutive term as warden.

Smith adds they’ll be meeting soon to discuss strategic priorities over the next four years.

“One of the main priorities is the Roseway Manor build and housing development that will be a part of that. That’s a very exciting project as we move forward into the next year.”

Smith thanks voters in District 2 for choosing her to be their representative on council.
