Our Athlete of the Week is 16-year-old Luca Haase of Conquerall Mills
Sports Organization: JugglerLuca is an incredible talented juggler.
He started juggling when he was 8 years old and is now (to our knowledge) the best juggler in Nova Scotia, and one of the best in Canada.
Last year he went to Las Vegas to take part at the annual World Juggling Federation convention. He took part in the junior competition and won gold. His trip to Las Vegas was partly funded by a scholarship from the Nova Scotia Talent Trust.
Luca practises hours and hours per day, aiming for more difficult juggling tricks and breaking his own records. You can see him in action at his own YouTube channel (google Luca Haase YouTube) where he posted several movies showing him in action, including a couple shot in Bridgewater. Besides juggling, Luca enjoys playing badminton at the Bridgewater Junior Badminton Club and he is also a dedicated member of the Bridgewater Firefighter Band where he plays Euphonium.
As Athlete of the Week, Luca won $50 to Cleve’s Source for Sports in Bridgewater
