Our Athlete of the Week is 11-year-old MJ Barton of Queens
Sports Organization: QCMH, U11 Cougars Hockey
Her Mom says:
MJ had a rough two years being bullied bad in school.
She came out of her shell and finally got her dream of playing hockey even with Hemophilia.
She joined a coed team and trusted, and became great friends with all the players.
MJ has even made games when she wasn’t feeling well to make sure she was there to support her team. MJ’s dream was to play hockey, and after doctors telling her it was too dangerous with her condition, her new doctor finally allowed it!
She has grown, and grew, and shined. This would make her whole year!
As Athlete of the Week, MJ won $50 to Cleve’s Source for Sports in Bridgewater
