A man airlifted to hospital after collision involving school bus, closes part of Digby-area road

A man is in hospital with life threatening conditions after a collision in Digby County.

It was yesterday around 2:40pm on Hwy 217 in Rossway.

A school bus and Chevrolet Silverado collided, travelling in opposite directions.

The driver of the Silverado, a 62-year-old man from Acaciaville, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the school bus was treated at the scene for minor injuries and had no other passengers onboard.

Police continue to investigate.
