In B.C. schools they asked 4000 parents, teachers and students how they would feel about eliminating letter grades – A…B…C…D…F… and replacing them with new terms
The vast majority said, “No! Don’t do it!”
And so the government’s Education Department ignored that and beginning this September students from Primary to Grade 9 will be getting report cards that say, “Emerging, developing, proficient or extending”
Anyone agree with this?
And even if you think this is stupid, can you figure out why they would do this?
