Our Athlete of the Week is 14-year-old Abbigale Grant of Milton
Sports Organization: Liverpool Regional High School Cheer
Abbi was a figure skater for 6 years, then tried hockey for two years, but settled into cheerleading. Abbigale has been involved in school cheer for grades 6,7 and 8 at South Queens Middle School.
This was her first year of high school cheer. At there home competition they placed 1st, at cheer expo in Halifax with over 6000 athletes they placed 2nd in there division and at regionals at Parkview they placed 1st.
Abbi is very dedicated to the sport and puts her all in it. She encourages team mates, and always has a smile when on the mat. While maintaining a good average in french immersion, as well as an active air cadet.
