A recent survey found that the perfect sandwich has ham, cheddar cheese and tomato and the spread can be honey mustard, barbeque sauce or mayo.
I can’t disagree.
Although last week a listener posted a reply to a Facebook question about favourite menu items at your local diner.
She said no one offers a Monte Cristo sandwich.
And she’s right!!
It has ham, cheese (not cheddar but more likely swiss or gruyere), both mustard and mayo and then it’s dipped in egg to become a French Toast sandwich!
Now that is a perfect sandwich!
