Public engagement sessions for Blockhouse Hill design project

Public Engagement Sessions are set for the Blockhouse Hill Design Project in the Town of Lunenburg.

Council awarded MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects a design proposal contract for a new housing development in the spring.

Four workshops will be conducted by the firm which has experience with participatory design, where community members are collaborators in shaping projects.

MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple is also teaming up with UNESCO World Heritage advisor, architect and conservator Julian Smith.

The first of four engagement sessions will be September 14th at the Lunenburg Fire Hall at 6pm.

According to a town release, each workshop will open with a brief staff presentation outlining the process and introducing attendees to their consultants.

Listening Thursday, September 14 Lunenburg Fire Hall 6PM

Visioning Thursday October 19 at the Lunenburg Fire Hall 6PM

Options Thursday, November 9 at the Lunenburg Fire Hall 6PM

Direction Tuesday, December 12, Town Hall Council Chamber 6PM
