Hurricane Lee remains very powerful as it continues track north

Meteorologists are keeping a close eye on one of the most powerful hurricanes in years.

Hurricane Lee remains a Category 3 and was in the northern Caribbean Sunday night with sustained winds of 120 mph.

Forecasters were not expecting it to make landfall but coastal was flooding expected along Puerto Rico’s northern coast, with dangerous rip currents for much of the east coast of the U.S.

The exact track of Hurricane Lee still remains unclear, as it continues to move further north up the Atlantic Ocean.
