Pride Tape no longer banned on hockey sticks in NHL

NHL players can now use Pride Tape on their hockey sticks.

It comes after the organization rescinded its ban.

In a statement on social media the NHL says after consultation with the NHL Players’ Association and NHL Player Inclusion Coalition, Players will now have the option to voluntarily represent social causes with their stick tape throughout the season.

The NHL decided in June not to allow players to wear themed Jerseys after some players opted out of Team Pride night last season.
