S.P.C.A. charges 18-year-old Antigonish man

The Nova Scotia SPCA says an Antigonish man has been charged for causing a dog to be in distress.

According to a release, the agency received a complaint on July 27th about a dog allegedly being abused.

After an investigation, SPCA enforcement officers located the 18-year-old in the Halifax Regional Municipality and charged him under the Animal Protection Act of Nova Scotia.

The accused is set to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on December 20th.
