N.S. RCMP has a new Commanding Officer

Nova Scotia RCMP officially has a new leader.

Assistant Commissioner Dennis Daley was sworn in as Commanding Officer of the RCMP yesterday in a change of command ceremony, with special guests from across the province and Canada.

Daley has a 35-year career with the RCMP, with his first posting to New Minas in 1989.

“I’m privileged and profoundly humbled to lead the Nova Scotia RCMP,” said A/Commr. Daley. “Together, we will serve and protect the communities we call home. I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with our many partners and community leaders to enhance safety, build trust, and make a positive difference in the lives of Nova Scotians.”

Daley replaces John Ferguson.
