Mounties in the Halifax area have arrested a person they described as a dangerous man after a hit and run in Cole Harbour
The 33-year-old was taken into custody shortly after an emergency alert was issued on Monday evening.
The investigation is continuing and officers remain at the scene of the earlier hit and run.
Shrewsbury Road remains closed from Woodbury Drive to Sherwood Street.
