Man facing murder charges in relation to 2022 Halifax stabbing

A man has been charged with first degree murder for a stabbing in Halifax.

Police say Chauntelle Lizette McIntyre was stabbed in the area of Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Rd on May 17, 2022.

The 37-year-old later died in hospital.

A 40-year-old suspect was arrested November 2, and will appear in court today facing one count of first-degree murder.

A 31-year-old Halifax woman was also brought into custody, after being arrested at a Halifax home, November 2, but was released without charges.
