New Queens Manor breaks ground

After years of anticipation and advocacy for more senior long term care facilities from multiple organizations, local politicians, and individuals the new Queens Manor facility broke ground on Monday.

Originally announced as a new 96-bed facility, it is now set to include 112 beds to accommodate for growth in demand for LTC in the area.

The new Queens Manor is being built across from the Emera Centre in Liverpool and the location was selected primarily due to its proximity to businesses, health services, fitness facilities, and more.

Residents in the area can expect the area around the new Queens Manor and Emera Centre to be bust with construction workers for the next few years, with a targeted opening date in early 2026.
