Hurricanes Clinch Spot In Provincial Final

The BMO Western Hurricanes have clinched a spot in the provincial final Sunday in North Sydney. The local major bantam squad knocked off Bubba Ray’s 3-1 Saturday night in the semi-final. Jered Scott scored the game-winner on the power-play in the second period. Also scoring for the Hurricanes were Travis Parks and Matt Grace. The Hurricanes will meet Halifax in the final at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. The winner will represent Nova Scotia at the ‘Irving Oil Atlantic Challenge’ later this spring.
