Two people found safe after stranded on Nova Scotia Rd

Two people were found safe and sound after spending two nights on a deserted Nova Scotia Rd.

RCMP say it was November 11 around 2:30pm when they received the report of a stranded vehicle in Parrsboro.

The Kia Forte had been stuck since the previous Thursday night on Harrison Settlement Rd.

It was around 4:45pm when an RCMP 4×4 and air services found the car, which had three mangled tires.

RCMP remind motorists before heading out on the road of these tips:

  • Inform others of their intended route
  • Carry a charged cell phone and/or phone charger
  • Assemble an emergency kit
  • Be prepared for weather conditions
  • Not exceed the limitations of their vehicle or driving skills
