HMCS Harry DeWolf cutting deployment short due to COVID

One of Halifax’s navy ships is cutting its deployment short.

The Royal Canadian Navy says HMCS Harry DeWolf is cancelling the remainder of its Great Lakes deployment, due to a significant amount of COVID cases on board.

This includes stop in Montreal and Quebec City.

On social media, the navy says the Harry Dewolf will remain in Montreal today before coming back to Halifax tomorrow.

They say the patrol vessel was conducting training exercises and hosting public tours, but their number one priority is to protect the health and safety of the crew and the communities they visit.
