North Sydney woman arrested in Halifax for murder of Natacha Leroy

A North Sydney woman has been arrested in the homicide of Natacha Leroy.

RCMP say the 25-year-old suspect was arrested on the Bedford Hwy yesterday in Halifax and charged with Murder and Indignity to Human Remains.

She will appear in court December 4.

On November 22, RCMP responded to a report of a homicide on Old Route 5 in Big Bras D’Or. There they learned 48-year-old Leroy went missing under suspicious circumstances.

Two days later her remains were found in Big Bras D’Or by police dogs.

Investigators are looking for a second suspect, a 28-year-old Big Bras D’Or man who is believed to be in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

RCMP say the incident was not random and Natacha was known to the suspects.
