Serious collision on the 102 in Shubenacadie

A 54-year-old man was airlifted to hospital and two others have life-threatening injuries after a collision on Highway 102 in Shubenacadie.

RCMP say it was Monday night just before 6:30pm when a Nissan Versa, travelling south, struck the guardrail before coming to a stop.

When getting out of the vehicle, two passengers were struck by a BMW travelling in the same direction, which then hit the Versa.

The driver of the BMW was extricated out and airlifted to hospital in critical condition

The two others injured was a girl from Dartmouth and an 18-year-old woman.

The investigation is ongoing, and it is believed weather may have been a factor.
