UPDATE: Wind warning for Monday in N.S.

Prepare to deflate your giant inflatable Santa and secure any Christmas decorations in your yard!

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for mainland Nova Scotia.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected Monday afternoon until Monday evening.

The forecast calls for maximum gusts out of the south from 80 to 100 km/h.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur.

Utility outages may occur.
