Road near Lawrencetown Beach to be realigned

Repairs are coming to a damaged road on the Eastern Shore in 2025.

A 500-metre section of Route 207 along Lawrencetown Beach has taken a beating from the Atlantic Ocean during storms.

The province is spending over a million dollars to build a new road away from the coast, that will be matched by the feds.

Eastern Shore MLA Kent Smith says it will improve the road and protect it from pounding waves and surf, and will make sure it can remain open during and after storms.

The section is between the MacDonald House and the west entrance to the Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park.
